Persian Blue
A Natural Beauty
Extracted from Iranian mountains, Persian Blue is colored by Mother Earth. Resulting from a potassium mineral called sylvinite, the blue hues beautifully align to represent the ancient culture.
Color blue in Persian culture roots to the use of Lapis lazuli and Indigofera tinctoria--two natural sources for blue pigment. Lapis Lazuli, the rock, was used for jewelry, amulets and mosaic tiles admired up to this day. Indigofera tinctoria, the indigo plant, was imported from India.
